The secret to this parka’s extra warmth is the full
snorkel hood with fur ruff. The majority of heat loss occurs
through the neck and head. So, the hood on this parka extends
fully around your neck and head with the fur ruff protruding
well in front of your face. This design creates an air pocket
around your neck, head, and face which minimizes heat loss.
The hood of the parka is sewn onto the body of the parka with
insulation throughout the hood. This eliminates cold spots.
Hoods attached with snaps, buttons or zippers are not as warm.
Cold is sealed out from the rest of the parka
with comfortable stretch knit interior cuffs and interior
waist draw cord. These features combined with quality down
insulation create a parka that is exceptionally warm with
modest weight and bulk.
